Standard Attire for Burning Man

Your favorite MILF is going on Vacation.  Sometimes I like to write to get stuff outa my head and because it feels good to put my thoughts to paper as it were…At the end of this month is an annual event that has been going of for over 20 years and probably everyone else in the world almost has either gone to or heard of Burning Man and what is represents. Everyone except me. Although this all started way back in 1987 by a man named Larry Harvey, I only first heard about BM about 2 years ago and I remember at the time I was thinking there is no fucking way I am going out into the desert with no running water, no trash facilities and I have to lug everything into this barren dry lake bed and then back out again!?! I mean, come on, what civilized human being would do that to themselves I asked myself?  Not only no, but Hell no!  The thought of it seemed daunting and extremely unpleasant to me.

And then I met the Burners.  And that changed everything for me and I began to see things on a completely different level. With each person I met I began to see the warmth and extreme level of personal commitement each and every person involved in BM so willingly displayed, and that is what spoke to me.  When I can see that many individual people reaching up as one for one cause that says something to me on many levels.  It tells me that it can work.   It tells me that people really can just get along.   And it also shows me that there is Hope Everlasting.   And that maybe, just maybe there is still something left in this bitter world to place a kernel of belief into.  No one gets “paid” to participate in BM. Everyone works from a level of giving what is needed when it is needed and not asking for something in return.  A labor of Love. The fruit of your Loins.  An expression of your Beauty. And this is just as it should be. No expectations, no agenda just the willingness to make it happen.  So while Im running around naked in the desert with 40,000 other participants youll just know Im having a great time doing what I do best. 

So I will meet this challenge head on and I will prepare as best I can to spend the better part of 2 weeks in my new home with my new friends and become a real life bonifide desert rat in Black Rock Desert, Nv. Population 40,000 and growing…
